The Centre for Public Health has been granted special
consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United
Nation. Consultative status enables Centre for Public Health to actively and
constructively engage with the ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, as well as
with the United Nations Secretariat, programs, funds and agencies in a number
of ways which include:
Participate in the work of the ECOSOC by placing items of
interest on the provisional agenda of the Council and submitting statements;
Designate official representatives to the United Nations
offices in New York, Geneva , Vienna and other regional offices, who can
register for and participate in events, conferences, and activities;
Consult with the ECOSOC and subsidiary bodies on matters of
mutual interest or concern; and
An ability to use UN facilities in matters related to the
work of the ECOSOC.
Centre for Public Health is associated with United Nation
Department of Public Information.
Centre For Public Health Initiative Inc is a registered
501(c)(3) organization with the IRS of United States of America and gifts are
tax deductible as allowed by law. We
will soon open our Maryland chapter after the New York chapter.
